Why Phonics?

“If a child memorizes ten words, then the child can read only ten words. But if a child learns the sounds of ten letters, then the child will be able to read 350 three sound words, 4320 four sound words and 21,650 five sound words” –  Dr. Martin Kozloff

 Phonics helps the children learn the language easily. The children who use Phonics becomes the confident readers and gets the good results in academics. If you are a parent or teacher, learning phonics will enable you to teach and help the child to read easily. 

 

Course Content

  1.  Learning the letter sounds (42 Sounds: Letter n Digraph sounds Jingles)
  2.  Learning the letter formations.
  3.  Blending (Reading)
  4.  Identifying the sounds in words. (Segmenting)
  5. Tricky Words.
  6. Long Vowels n Short Vowels Sounds
  7. Alternative Spelling for Vowels
  8.  Spelling Rules
  9.  Daily Lesson Plans

Please note that the session will be in Tamil.

You will get

  1. Certificate of Participation (From Katral Elithu Academy)

We have weekday and weekend batches.

Weekday Batch

Monday to Friday (4 Days)

10:30 AM – 12:30 PM (IST)

 

Weekend Batch

The session will be conducted on two weekends

Saturday and Sunday (4 Days)

01:30 PM – 04:30 PM (IST)
